Jim Parsons vai produzir uma série documental, juntamente com Greg Berlanti, que relata a história de líderes e ativistas do movimento LGBTQ+, para a HBO Max.
O ator será um dos produtores executivos de “Equal”, uma série anunciada pela HBO esta quarta-feira, que irá caracterizar vários pioneiros do movimento LGBTQ +, inclusive Harry Hay, Daughters of Bilitis, Christine Jorgensen e Bayard Rustin.
“Em junho, comemoramos o 50º aniversário dos motins de Stonewall, que ocorreram numa nova era pelo orgulho LGBTQ +. Embora conheçamos a história por trás daquela fatídica noite de verão, há muita história fascinante e não contada de patriotas, artistas e pensadores que abriram o caminho”, disse Jennifer O’Connell, vice-presidente executiva de não-ficção e programação infantil da HBO Max.
Recorde-se que Jim Parsons protagonizou a série “The Big Bang Theory”, ao interpretar a personagem Sheldon Cooper.
